We are looking for an informatics professional to lead the Agilent Mass Spectrometry Software & Digital Marketing teams. This leader will drive the overall strategy for mass spectrometry (MS) software and our digital programs. We need a leader who is focused on our customers and who can work collaboratively with peers (across a R&D, Quality, Sales, Finance, etc) to deliver best-in-class strategy for our software products and digital activities.
To accomplish this, you will have the responsibility to:
Lead, build, and develop a team of marketing professionals (including marketing managers, product managers, application scientists and digital marketing).
Nurture a customer-focused marketing environment
Develop and drive high-level strategy.
Partner closely with the Director of MS Hardware Marketing and the Directors and Associate VPs of the MS R&D teams to effectively meet new product introduction goals.
Have oversight and guide your team to conduct market/competitive analysis to define and evaluate new trends and growth opportunities.
Collaborate with peers across different product divisions to develop and align on software strategy and projects (including Agilent’s Software Informatics Division, Gas Chromatography Solution Division, and Liquid Chromatography Solutions Division).
Work with marketing communications (MarCom) leadership to have oversight of the global marketing and commercialization plans.
Work closely with sales leadership to understand and support sales channel needs.
10+ years experience in software marketing or related field. Background in mass spectrometry is a plus.
Bachelor’s Degree required. A Masters or Ph.D. in computer science, analytical chemistry, mass spectrometry, biology, biochemistry, or a related field is highly preferred.
The ability to set priorities based on alignment with business goals and strategic direction.
Proven track record of customer focus, particularly as it relates to software workflows.
Leadership in product portfolio strategy development.
A proven track record to work collaboratively with sales and marketing professionals across the organization to develop effective market strategies and programs that meet revenue forecasts and growth targets.
Experience in working with worldwide customers and demonstration of customer advocacy.
Understanding of software product development lifecycle (SDLC) is required.
Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to travel worldwide; 25% travel required.
