Job Description
Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work of assigned staff; assigns work activities and coordinates schedules, projects, and programs; provides constructive feedback; reviews and evaluates work and makes effective suggestions and recommendations.
Manages the workflow and prioritization of projects and measures the performance of the division and all related staff and takes appropriate corrective action when necessary; provides advice and counsel to staff; develops developmental work plans for staff; implements or recommends corrective actions, discipline and termination procedures as appropriate/necessary.
Teams with Department leadership to develop and prioritize department plans to achieve the agency’s mission and goals, addresses issues and obstacles that impede progress toward achieving goals.
Develops reports and provides benchmark reports and other Key Performance Indicators to assure management of agile yet best practices.
Ensures that projects, services, programs, and operations of the Department are completed within the scope, schedule, and budget and that all objectives are successfully met.
Attends and participates in professional group meetings; maintains awareness of new trends and developments in the fields related to area of assignment; incorporates new developments as appropriate; ensures processes, policies and practices are interpreted and applied consistently and effectively.
Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Qualifications
1-3 years of logistics operations experience
Previous experience working with export/import company
Experience in recycling industry is a plus
Project management experience: has an understanding of project management tools, techniques, and tactics for driving projects to success
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; strong detail orientation
Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment
Knowledge of people management skills, particularly influence management and conflict resolution
Ability to understand, track, drill-down, and question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based upon that data
Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors
