HRBP Advisor PH Berkeley
The HRBP Advisor will execute the human resource strategies and tactics to support the Pharmaceutical Site in Berkeley, CA. This role will report to the Director HR.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, HRBP Advisor PH, Berkeley, are to:
Key Tasks:
Provides advice and facilitates the implementation of and compliance of policies, procedures and guidelines and interpretation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement to management in connection with, bargaining unit employees and bargaining unit representatives on policies, practices as it relates to the full range of employee relations issues including, recruitment, promotion, transfer, discipline, compensation, leaves of absence, internal complaints (e.g., harassment discrimination and the like), and requests for accommodation for covered disabilities, among other things;
Responsible for assignments that are complex in nature where quick judgment and analysis is required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Focuses on employee experience and a positive business outcome collaborating with Legal and business unit leadership as necessary;
Effectively coaches to build leadership capability and provides recommendations to close performance gaps. Identifies opportunities and proposes solutions that align with the organizations people strategy, including team structure (organizational design), strategic hiring, performance management, compensation, recognition, and learning and development while sustaining the cultural attributes of the organization;
Works very independently with minimal supervision/direction and has a high degree of contact with all levels of internal/external customers requiring tact and diplomacy across local, national and global functions;
Provide guidance and direction to supervisors, managers and directors regarding personnel actions such as performance management, performance improvement plans, discipline (up to and including terminations), and other employment practices;
Partner with client groups to develop and/or assess the effectiveness of career paths, align their operations and employee capabilities to the overall strategic directions, job ladders, and job descriptions; ensure validity and consistency of use within the business unit; Effectively communicate HR products, perspectives, services, programs and policies to management and employees and implication on business strategies;
Consult in close collaboration with Manufacturing Leadership with issues surrounding Law/litigation on ensuring compliance and adherence to applicable employment laws and Bayer policies and Collective Bargaining Agreement; Supports and executes organizational changes providing appropriate solutions from the HR perspective; thorough understanding of the business and engagement with the business leaders, translate the business requirements;
Ability to provide positive and corrective feedback to others and deal with employee relations issues at all organizational levels with professionalism and courage;
Strong communications (including in writing) and messaging skills with the ability to build long term partnerships with internal management & staff, including the various relevant representatives of workers groups and stakeholders. Knows when to listen and when to speak up;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think big and anticipate issues before they arise, and proactively suggest long-term salutation. Must be willing to “roll up your sleeves” with a strong solutions focus and comfort working in an environment that values impact over effort;
Strong Coaching skills and the ability to influence without authority. Confidence in autonomous decision making;
Strong knowledge of employment/labor laws.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field or Masters’ Degree;
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field with at least 7 years of HR experience preferred; or Masters’ Degree plus 5 years HR experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience, highly preferred;
Knowledge and hands-on experience in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment desired;
Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations and investigations
Comfort level with dynamic, busy environment, multi-tasking and seeing issues through to resolution.
Proficient knowledge of HR processes, programs, policies and systems and ability to communicate same to employees and management including presentations and trainings
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high performance culture where business is constantly evolving. Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and change; comfortable with uncertainty; Experience in handling projects and corresponding change management
Comfortable dealing with and ability to influence managers
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to relate to employees at all levels of the organization including local, national and international colleagues;
Ability to provide positive and corrective feedback to others and deal with employee relations issues at all organizational levels with professionalism and courage

Union experience strongly preferred;
Experience with regulatory and cGMP requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing desired
