Your Role

The Enterprise Meetings & Events team plans and produces best-in-class virtual and in-person events that deliver critical information and aligns our employees around our north star so they understand their role in helping us create a healthcare system worthy of our family and friends. The Manager, Meetings & Events will report to the Senior Manager, Meetings and Events. In this role you will work closely and cross-functionally to collaborate with event stakeholders to identify event goals, content, logistics, budget management and overall coordination of events – from the initial planning phase to on-site execution, and event close out. This position will play a key role in helping to create an outstanding employee experience and a great place to work. Additionally, this role will focus on the internal operations of the Meetings & Events team. Your Work

In this role, you will:

Develop and implement a strategy for key executives and business stakeholders to forward business goals
Develop and manage editorial calendars and/or production for various internal communications and events
Manage content on our company intranet (Shield Central)
Develop new and creative ways to deliver internal messages in meetings and increase engagement
Develop message platforms; writes edits and produces internal communication messages on key issues
Manage team usage of internal tools such as Zoom, Teams, Stream, Monday.com, OneDrive, etc., including best practices, SOPs, user manuals, and access
Maintain team SOPs and ensure all teammates are updated when changes are made
Manage 1 direct report, the Project Coordinator for Events
Create and oversee internal communications events calendar and coordinate with internal stakeholders to coordinate across internal and external events
Manage all responsibilities related to events – from evaluation, registration, catering, entertainment, transportation, invitee list, equipment, pre- and post-show communication, and results tracking

Your Knowledge and Experience

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Requires at least 7 years prior relevant experience, including 3 years of management experience gained as a team leader, supervisor or project/program manager
Industry certification certified meeting professional
Proven successful track record of virtual event production using Zoom
Able to juggle a diverse roster of projects at the same time, managing these projects from inception through delivery with little oversight
Ability to anticipate business needs and design events agenda to help drive business goals
Strong interpersonal communications skills and relationship management experience, able to work productively with internal clients and partners at all levels
