About the Role
In order to achieve its ambition of serving 40,000 Fellows over the next decade, Braven must hire mission driven talent to ensure the next generation of leaders emerge from everywhere. In that effort, Braven is hiring a Manager, Talent Acquisition who will support the entire hiring process – from sourcing to the offer letter stage.
Sitting on the People & Culture (P&C) team and reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition, you will support the work required to recruit and hire over 30 high-impact roles in the next hiring cycle, build a strong employer brand across social platforms, and ensure a high-quality candidate experience.
You will play a crucial role in our mission by deeply internalizing our vision, mission, and values and applying this lens to candidates you screen. You care about ensuring candidates have a positive experience throughout the application process and will be timely, informative, and engaged in your communications with them. Importantly, you believe deeply as Braven staff do, that leaders can emerge from anywhere, and you value candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences.

What You’ll Do
Lead the development of strong, diverse talent pipelines for current and future openings
Serve as thought-partner to hiring managers for a diverse range of open positions
Provide full-cycle logistical hiring support including reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, interview scheduling, etc.
Execute Braven’s candidate experience survey and use the data to suggest and implement ongoing improvements
Serve as system administrator for Braven’s applicant tracking system and ensure data accuracy
Provide support with all aspects of employee onboarding
Influence branding strategies across social platforms that create strong employer brand recognition
Actively research and stay informed of leading trends in recruiting best practices
Participation in other P&C-related projects and process improvement efforts as needed
Qualifications & Skills
2-4 years of experience with full-cycle recruiting in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment for a variety of roles
Experience using data to inform recruitment and hiring practices
Strong understanding of sourcing techniques and tools (LinkedIn Recruiter highly preferred)
Strong track record of prioritizing diversity, equity and inclusion throughout recruitment and hiring processes
Experience stewarding strong relationships and exhibiting excellent communication skills with a wide range of audiences
Demonstrated commitment to and passion for DEIJ
Demonstrated commitment to and passion for Braven’s mission
A college or university degree

Must be fully vaccinated and have received the Booster vaccination against COVID-19 and provide proof of such by the date of hire. Individuals may claim exemption from the vaccine requirement for medical or religious reasons. Exempted individuals will be subject to weekly testing if they engage in any in-person work activities.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position, which depends on prior work experience and our assessment of your demonstrated fit for the role, will likely be between $49,000 – $61,200 for Atlanta, $51,500 – $64,400 for Chicago, and $55,700 – $69,600 for New York or Newark. Braven offers competitive base salaries based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size, with opportunities for salary growth over time. We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact on behalf of the organization, and take internal and external equity seriously. Given our commitment to equity, Braven does not negotiate salary offers; instead each salary offer is determined carefully using external and internal benchmarking. Location
When social distancing is not in place, we gather in the office three days a week.Therefore, we require teammates to live within commuting distance of one of our 4 hubs: Chicago, New York City, Newark, and Atlanta. Each teammate can use two flex days of their choosing per week to work remotely. We believe in the magic, connection, and collaboration that happens when people work together face-to-face and we believe in giving people flexibility to focus, balance personal priorities, and save themselves two commutes per week.
