About the Position:
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the Property Manager in overseeing a 198-unit apartment community designed exclusively for low-income seniors, age 62 and above, or households with disability at any age. The property is located in Van Nuys, CA. This position requires strong oral and written communication skills, administrative/clerical, organization, and time management skills. Knowledge of fair housing is a plus.
Assist Property Manager in preparing initial and follow-up correspondence on all matters relating to the property being managed.
Maintain records in a timely, accurate, and organized manner
Prepare plans and provide for the implementation of special administrative projects
Assist Property Manager with the Processing of all forms of tenant recertification, including verification, certification, annual and interim re-certification, and maintain leases as needed
Abide by all HUD management, 4350 & LIHTC guidelines
Prior experience in property management helpful
Project-based Section 8 experience helpful
Experience with Yardi is helpful
Computer literacy required
