Job/Department Summary:
Staff Council (STAC) at California State University, Chico, champions for staff and serves the local community through service projects. STAC plans events to create a positive impact on staff culture and morale, seeks out and responds to ideas and suggestions, and helps recognize staff. This position is the sole support for the Office of Staff Council and has July and January off. This position assists the executive board with the development, progression, management, and conclusion of programs and projects initiated by the board and membership to achieve the mission of Staff Council. Staff Council conducts numerous service and recognition programs throughout the year.

Required Education and Experience:
This position requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. These qualifications, and those listed above, would normally be obtained through completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with three years of related office work experience.
Also requires experience in special event management.
Time Base: Full-time- 1.0
Pay Plan: 10/12 (January and July off)
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer – Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm.
Salary and Benefits Information:
$2,730 – $4,290 per month / $32,760 – $51,480 annually (New employees should anticipate being hired at the beginning of the salary range)
This position qualifies for benefits including tuition fee waiver (if eligible).
