Position Summary
One (1) temporary hourly-intermittent Work Study position available in the Philosophy Modern Languages Department.
Start Date
Position available on or after September 5, 2022 and ending on or before May 31, 2023. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
Job Description/Duties
Under the lead supervision of the Coordinator of Philosophy/Modern Language Department, this position performs duties to include, but not limited to:
General clerical duties;
Responsible for mail distribution, assisting with operation and maintenance of office equipment.
General typing and filing, answering phones and greeting student and public at the main desk.
Provides clerical support to students, faculty and staff.
Drafts flyers/announcements/letters.
Performs data entry and creates new student folders.
Maintains workroom supplies and performs periodic inventory checks.
Responsible to maintain bulletin boards in hallway for the department.
Run department errands to various other department offices throughout campus.
Orders desk copies and course books for faculty.
As needed, assist with general cleaning of common work areas.
Performs other duties or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/Publisher and ability to navigate the internet for research purposes a definite plus.
Speak and write in Spanish.
Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.

Salary Range
