Join the team leading Cisco’s strategy and portfolio for as-a-service and managed services. You will help lead the development of the partner strategy in the Americas region, positioning, partner value proposition and partner economics. You will have the opportunity to work with numerous business units, sales and segment teams and executives at Cisco and our strategic partners.
The right candidate will be a ‘Doer’ that focuses on rapid execution and delivering strategic thinking in a well-packaged view to influence cross-functional and regional teams in the Americas market, including senior leadership. You must be able to work effectively in large organizations, build and lead cross-functional teams and synthesize data from opposing viewpoints and drive a fact-based strategy based on customer needs and market opportunity.
This role is key to supporting partner provider enablement teams creating and selling managed services based on Cisco technology offers (e.g., SD-WAN, SASE). Experience in the IT sector with different technology architectures (e.g., security, networking, hybrid cloud) and managed services is critical.
In this role, you will be a key member of the Strategy, Planning and Operations team supporting managed services provider partners across the Americas. You will have the opportunity to craft, implement, and grow an emerging business within Cisco.
What You’ll Do
Develop leading edge business models, frameworks for analysis, and long-term business strategies that drive transformational thinking around Cisco managed services go-to-market for the Americas region. Drive the creation of presentations and recommendations and contribute to the team’s intellectual capital.
Be a subject matter expert in the Provider partner program. Able to provide guidance and support to extended team members and new partners enrolling in the program.
Lead the process to identify and prioritize Contra investments for strategic Provider engagements and ensure Contra budgets are tracked and maintained.
Provide thought leadership, perform business analysis, and support execution of high-impact strategic projects and mission-critical initiatives as part of the leadership team
Provide strategic leadership and creative thinking tied to the analysis of managed services technology trends, market opportunity, competitive trends, and the identification of new opportunities to help drive partner growth.
Develop a comprehensive view of provider and end customer care-abouts and use this to align the organization to the strategy.
Work with APO and global partner analytics and finance teams to develop dashboards and KPI tracking to drive focus on key initiatives. Analyze partner program results and efficiency and develop improvement initiatives.
Provide program management and business development support for new initiatives we are incubating, working closely with provider partners to test and validate new offers and lead successful pilot engagements.
Develop and maintain provider community engagements, including the Americas Managed Services Advisory Board.
Prepare reports to reflect the Managed Services business in the Americas, including Quarterly Business Outlooks and other ad-hoc reporting requests as needed.

You are a go-getter and can develop a working knowledge of Cisco architectures, products, and solutions capable of delivering a value proposition to Providers.
Requirements
At least 3-5 years of managed services industry experience.
Strong Financial, Business, and Industry acumen.
Strong MS Excel skills including experience working with pivot tables and charts for data analysis.
Strong MS PowerPoint skills, including animations and excellent graphic design acumen. Ability to tell a story using PowerPoint.
Ability to work across segments – someone that has good relationships across all areas. Credibility with sales and channel organizations.
Good communicator, Team Player – good communication skills.
Someone that speaks their mind and has a willingness to test the norm.
Can represent leader in key internal and partner meetings
Sales Expertise – ability to propose solutions, addressing client business issues and objectives using both Cisco and third-party solutions / services in a clear and concise manner. Having worked closely with Cisco and / or key competitors to build managed services offers is a plus.
Technical Expertise – high-level technical knowledge in one or more architectures offered via large providers and MSPs (e.g. SD-WAN, SASE, Security, Campus Networking), academic training or knowledge of Managed Services technologies is required to provide a comprehensive, differentiated, and valuable level of consulting advice to our partners and internal stakeholders.
Industry Expertise – demonstrated knowledge of managed services business models to be conversant enough to present a compelling point-of-view to partner and internal audiences. Knowledge of ITIL service management strongly desired.
Delivery Expertise – proven ability to successfully own the delivery of projects, which exceed client expectations in terms of deliverable quality and positive impact to the business.
This position can be based anywhere in the U.S. Travel will vary with return to normal business from COVID, expect up to 25% travel long term.
