General Job Purpose: This position is responsible for managing all aspects of Human Resources including but not limited to Employment, Benefit Administration, Workers Compensation, Compensation, Safety, Payroll. Works very closely with the Operations and Finance Teams while understanding the needs of Operations, complies with Federal, State Laws and Regulations.
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for all aspects of staffing, hiring, orientation, training and testing all new employees.

Manage all hourly pre-employment procedures, including I-9 verifications, reference checking and related items and forms.

Responsible for creating new hire packets, new hire folders and all pertinent information for new hires.

Manage all benefits administration (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Supplement Life Insurance, 401k) including employee health benefits enrollment, third-party claims administration, employee communications and COBRA processing.

Responsible for maintenance and confidentiality of personnel files for all employees.

Manage all Employee Relation Issues to assure all complaints are mitigated with little or no cost and liability to the company.

Conducts all company terminations.

Assure all HR Systems are updated to assure employee file integrity is kept current.

Administration of performance evaluations for all employees.

Administration of time and attendance program.

Administration of all Federal & State Leaves such as FMLA, PDL/CFRA, PFL, Disability, etc.

Assist Supervisors with all employee discipline issues.

Responsible for creating, implementing and ensuring all policies/procedures are up to date and are being followed.

Ensure all employment practices are consistent with company direction.

Administration of workers’ compensation claims.

Insurance Administration, W/C, General Liability, Liability, Property, Vehicle, Product Liability, Surety Bonds, Erisa Bonds)

Responsible for monitoring employees on modified duty.

Responsible for all Safety Programs including, Safety Committee and all required safety trainings.

Investigate and report on all incidents and accidents.

Responsible for processing & distribution of Bi-Weekly Payroll for all hourly and exempt employees.

Skills & Qualifications:

5-10 years of current, increasingly responsible experience in HR management and staff supervision, preferably in Agriculture.

Knowledge of current Federal and State employment and labor laws; computer skills including Microsoft Word & Excel; benefits management experience; strong interpersonal skills to successfully interact with management, employees and co-workers.

Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish/English required.

Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently; ability to maintain positive working relationships.

Must have the ability to make decisions, appear for work on time, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures and to accept constructive criticism.

Collaborate closely with the operations team in order to determine requirements, metrics, drive policies/procedures, safety programs, coordinate training/meetings and coordinate employee events, etc.

AA Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management or equivalent HR management experience.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
