Job Opening: Community Education Program Assistant – Part-Time
Position Open: Part Time Community Education Program Assistant – 20 Hours/week

Crisis Support Services of Alameda County (www.crisissupport.org), a nonprofit agency, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Community Education Program Assistant. This position’s main responsibility will be to support implementation of Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) trainings. Duties also include supporting other programs within the Community Education Department. This position would report directly to the Community Education Department Director.
Remote Work Eligibility: This position is eligible for remote work at 20 hours per week
Job Responsibilities:

Creating training courses in the MHFA learning management system

Create training flyers, registration forms, and registration links

Track course registration and course completion in MHFA learning management system & Google Sheets

Provide technical assistance to training registrants and participants who may have inquiries as they navigate the registration, training or certification processes.

Respond to general inquiries about the course from participants

Ability to attend community outreach activities (tabling events) as needed

Support other programs in the Community Education Department as needed

Attend bi-weekly agency staff meeting, team meeting, and 1:1 supervision meeting

Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

Committed to serving the cultural, linguistic, and ethnic diversity of our Alameda County communities

1-2 years of related administrative experience preferred

At least 1-2 years experience working or volunteering in any mental health, or other community-based organization preferred

Competency in working with Google Suite (G-Meet, Google Sheet, Google Forms, Google Drive), Zoom, and Canva required

Must have strong organizational and communication skills

Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

Access to an insured vehicle is preferred (mileage-based reimbursements are offered) or very comfortable using public transportation (BART, AC Transit) to travel throughout Alameda County

Must complete Background Check (DoJ and DMV) and LiveScan

Covid vaccination is required for employment

Salary and Schedule: The hours are 20 hours per week. The rate of pay for this position is $28/per hour.
Benefits: Employee will qualify for medical benefits (employer covers 75% of costs for part-time employees), 14 paid holidays per year, sick time, vacation time, floating holiday time, and retirement plan.
