Provide administrative and managerial assistance for a grant-funded project focusing on STEM outreach with college students, especially at minority-serving institutions.
Please be aware that funding for this position is awarded through a Grant/Contract over a specified period. Employment for this position beyond current Grant/Contract funding is contingent upon continued funding.
Essential Duties
Duties focus primarily on providing assistance with project management, including:
Monitoring project progress towards achieving its milestones
Monitoring and assisting with budget-related documentation
Assisting with communication involving external parties, e.g., internal and external collaborators, project mentors and study participants and sites
Coordinating data management
Supervising undergraduate research assistants as needed
Attending project-related meetings
Assisting with participant/site recruitment and data collection
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Prior experience as project coordinator, manager, administrator, or similar role for grant-funded project(s)
Prior experience in human subjects research
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organization and administrative skills
Familiarity with Google suite (e.g., Docs, Sheets) and SPSS
EDUCATION:
Completed a minimum of 60 College/University units
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged sitting in front of computer. Walking, talking, hearing, pulling, bending, may carry 10-15 pounds of objects/material, not exposed to extreme noise level, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, taste or smell.
