Temporary EVA Operations and Compliance Manager
Position Description
The Ednovate Virtual Academy (EVA) is an independent study program within our schools to support remote learners who, based on state guidance, can choose to remain home but must also continue to receive the high-quality, college prep education they expect from Ednovate schools.
We are seeking an EVA Operations and Compliance Manager to serve in a cross-functional support role and ensure our Independent Study program runs efficiently and effectively. This individual will work closely with both our academic and operations teams to standardize and improve our compliance processes, as well as the collection, access, analysis, and use of data to perform regular audit checks on all data input. The EVA Operations and Compliance Manager will report to the Director of Operations. This is a temporary role. Candidates should expect to perform duties through the end of the 2022-2023 school year.
Potential Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Attendance Management:
Train teachers and admin on compliant attendance processes utilizing all appropriate and required systems
Perform regular attendance audits with end goal of empowering the admin team to fully own and manage this process
Tiered Reengagement Management:
Perform regular reviews of tiered reengagement datapoints to ensure students are flagged to enter the process timely
Ensure all steps in the process are followed with fidelity:
Tiered reengagement contract signed, dated, etc.
All datapoints and required interventions are tracked throughout contract period
Ensure admin evaluates outcome of tiered reengagement process at contract end
If return to in-person is the outcome, then manage transfer process within required timelines
Process Review and Documentation:
Cross-reference board policy, playbook, calendar, bell schedules, written agreements, etc. to ensure consistency with board policy and written agreements
Codify and organize all Independent Study related processes
Quality Assurance:
Perform regular reviews of attendance, engagement, instructional minutes, tiered reengagement, and work product to ensure it is up-to-date by appropriate deadlines
Ensure schedules, independent study program, and attendance data all match contract (i.e. Independent Study Written Agreement) start and end dates align exactly, are up-to-date, and stored properly
Candidate Qualifications
Strong project management skills and ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of constituents
A proactive self-starter with the ability to multitask, establish and rearrange priorities, and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of public education and charter schools and California compliance preferred, but not required
A creative systems and process oriented thinker with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Experience with PowerSchool SIS system is a plus
Strong analytical skills and experience with a variety of analytical software is a plus

(This expected bonus will be paid out for all new hires who join before Oct 1, and will be part of the final October pay period)
