Job Description
Experian is looking for an experienced and motivated Solutions Design consultant who possesses a unique balance of technology transformation and strong interpersonal skills. You will partner with clients, sales, and several cross-functional teams across our organization to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient solutions that address client business problems. These efforts will result in generating new revenue via the Ascend Ops platform for these Experian businesses. Key activities include presales support, leading and owning the delivery of both pre-configured and customized solutions for Experian’s clients.
Here are some other qualities we are looking for: A strong desire to work with clients to solve their business challenges. You will have a passion for educating, training, designing, and building cloud solutions for a diverse and challenging set of clients across industries. Have a strong understanding of mid and large-scale consumer lending solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large-scale system transformations. You will enjoy keeping your existing technical and program management skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions. You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create world-class solutions built by Experian. Move fluidly from the big picture to details and enable the engineering teams to deliver complex and strategic cross-functional solutions, often with tight deadlines.
Key responsibilities:

Responsible for capturing complex client and product requirements and producing comprehensive, professional-grade flow charts and business requirements documents.
As a key member of business development, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software, and services on Experian’s Ascend big-data platform.
Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the solutions architect community.
Act as a technical liaison between clients, engineering teams, and support.
Build deep relationships with Clients’ senior technical individuals to enable them to be confident in partnering with Experian.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications

Ability to capture abstract and complex decisioning requirements and document in professional grade flow charts and comprehensive business requirements documents.
Experience with financial services & credit industry
Excellent knowledge of hosted software/solutions and the practical application of data, credit attributes, scoring and complex decisioning criteria for credit-related decision areas.
Effective communications skills to work directly with clients, sales, and the technical staff, including verbal as well as written (e.g. requirements writing).
Accountable for ensuring highest degree of client satisfaction.
Understanding of integrations, API’s, transactional systems, architecture is preferred
Technical ability to access systems and logs for research requests and data analysis (but would not perform developments tasks).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience required.
5+ years of related experience in design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent knowledge of existing Experian products and services across multiple businesses (CIS, DA, BIS, Auto and ECS) and ability to deliver via Ascend Ops.
Ability to program-manage large complex multi-dimensional projects.
Educate clients of all sizes on the value proposition of Experian’s technology solutions and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS or other cloud platform within the financial services industry.
Experience migrating or transforming legacy client solutions to the cloud.
Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and technical teams.
Strong understanding of Agile methodology
Willingness to travel up to 20%.
