Responsibilities:
Utility Wildfire Mitigation – Managing Consultants own client engagements from cultivation to completion. In this role, you will be accountable for the wildfire mitigation activities of the project team and support the day-to-day management of the client relationship. You are expected to effectively develop and manage work plans, staffing, deadlines and budgets for multiple Wilfire Mitigation projects simultaneously. Work products are expected to be high-quality and client-ready. This role requires experience in developing and implementing wildfire mitigation programs for utilities with wildfire risks and regulatory obligations. You will be responsible for program management activities to assist our clients in wildfire mitigation, risk analysis, FAC-003 compliance, and all related federal, state and local regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for assisting clients with meeting all required federal, state and local regulatory filings and requirements. The Managing Consulant will support client utility operations, particularly in California, the Mountain West, Southwest, and Pacific Northwest. In this visible role, you will lead team meetings, and guide, manage, and coach consultants and senior consultants, providing constructive feedback on project participation and overall career development. Managing Consultants work closely with Directors and Managing Directors to keep them abreast of project progress and important developments. Managing Consultants support sales initiatives and practice development.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with wildfire risk analysis and mitigation efforts for electric utilities
Assist in compliance readiness (people, processes, and tools) requirements including FAC-003, California Public Utility Commission rules, regulations, and orders, and associated state and local requirements
Document best practices and assess current practices to close gaps and address weaknesses

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, economics or related discipline
7+ years of utility experience with some direct wildfire responsibilities
Knowledge of utility wildfire regulations
Ability to travel
Position not eligible for sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in engineering, business, economics or related discipline
5+ additional years utility experience in a utility (energy provider) with western state wildfire exposure similar to a transmission management role
Act as Utility Wildfire SME in risk mitigation engagements
NERC experience
Demonstrated FAC-003 expertise
Project management experience
Understanding of California (and other) utility wildfire regulations
Report drafting
