Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM CSR is seeking a content manager who employs a unique sense of creativity, curiosity, and out-of-the box thinking when embarking on new projects and designs.The candidate in this position is responsible for the overall SkillsBuild content strategy with an emphasis on adult learners. The candidate will use their deep skills, expertise, and experience across L&D including workforce development strategies; digital learning eco-system design; global learning program execution; data-centered content optimization; collaboration and knowledge management—to support the global learner outcomes through the best learning experiences on the platform.
Key Responsibilities include:
Develop Key Relationships:
Develop strong relationships with CSR managers and geo-implementation teams to support IBM’s Skill’s pledge by delivering geo-relevant content on IBM SkillsBuild
Establish relationships with internal and external content development organizations to deliver on the content strategy
Build relationships with CSR, geo and partner communication teams to support effective marketing of the content and overall storytelling of the program impact
Drive process efficiencies •Manage the content lifecycle process globally, including organization and planning, creation, publication, and maintenance
Manage geo-based content approval process, including ensuring all content published on the platform aligns with the program overall goals
Implement and manage a performance management system to ensure content accuracy and relevance to program strategy and goals.
Conduct a retrospective, share lessons learned and make improvement recommendations
Build Assets and Capabilities:
Design and develop a consistent content and credentials strategy that drives the overall mission of lifelong learning and employability across SkillsBuild for Job Seekers
Partner effectively with subject matter experts and stakeholders to conduct insightful learning needs analyses and develop sound learning objectives
Create prototypes, storyboards, and design documentation that effectively communicate design to stakeholders and team members
Leverage appropriate instructional strategies based on content type, learner attributes, delivery platforms, and business need
Develop detailed design plans, which include key activities, timelines, and resource requirements needed to achieve objectives
Be able to clearly articulate rationale for learning approaches based on sound learning science, adult learning principles, and accessibility standards
Lead global enablement to support IBM CSR Geo teams in their understanding, execution, and alignment of the SkillsBuild offerings
Leverage IBM SkillsBuild offerings, assets, and capabilities to create and deliver differentiated offerings to our partners to drive learner activation.
Serve as an innovative change agent for continuous improvement through improved/enhanced methodologies and technologies
Assist in the identification, collection, and sharing of best practices
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with digital (online) learning platforms and credentials
Expertise in adult learning practices
Deep understanding of the labor market and workforce development trends and practices.
General understanding of nonprofit enterprises, especially those focused on employment and upskilling
