The ILIA team is growing and we are looking to welcome a new role to our People team to help shape and implement practices and programs to enable our employees to thrive.
The People Ops Manager will balance delivering on both strategic and tactical initiatives to build foundational people practices and scale them as our teams grow and evolve. To be successful in this role, you are both analytical with a business-lens but can also demonstrate compassion to support sensitive employee issues and create/execute programs that align with and promote the ILIA core values. You are thoughtful, detail oriented and have the ability to prioritize to drive meaningful impact, and thrive on building trusting relationships within the organization.
HR Operations (50%)
Technology – Support the selection of HR technology (HRIS and Performance Management software) and lead implementation and maintenance of internal systems that enable the People function and identify changing trends in HRIS software
Total Rewards. Manage benefits administration and support VP, People with annual total rewards reviews (inclusive of compensation analysis/benchmarking, rewards & recognition, overall benefits offerings, open enrollment and life events)
Reporting & Analysis. Build and maintain a dashboard of top HR metrics (including but not limited to retention, diversity, internal mobility, employee engagement, performance metrics) to identify focus areas to drive high impact.
Compliance. Lead the review, implementation and evolution of HR practices and annual reporting to ensure we maintain compliance
Vendor-relations. Work with 3rd party vendors as appropriate to deliver excellence in people programs you contribute to.
Employee Experience (40%)
Lifecycle – Support the employee lifecycle by evolving the design and implementation of operational onboarding practices, internal mobility, and offboarding that impact the employee experience; Automate and improve workflows between systems and teams
Employee development & talent programs. Serve as the lead (in partnership with People team members) to iterate, launch and administer the Performance & development processes. Facilitate the tracking of performance and career development plans. Identify L&D opportunities and present solutions to address skill gaps.
People Partner. Provide value-added guidance to a subset of people managers to support employee development, organizational design efforts, and culture. Support simple to mid-complexity employee relations and performance issues (as needed) with guidance from VP, People.
Expertise & Additional Projects (10%)
Be an expert in your trade – Keep up to date with federal and local laws, and best practices in the industry and apply them appropriately to your day-to-day work.
Cross-functional collaboration. Collaborate with other team members across departments and the broader management team to gather feedback and incorporate such feedback across our programs to ensure solutions will meet people and business needs.
People team. Serve as a key member of the People team and consult internally to align on programs across TA, HR and People Operations to ensure consistent employee experiences.
Other projects as assigned.
4+ years of experience working in Human Resources; generalist experience within CPG/Beauty and/or start up environment preferred
Previous experience working on a team with direct HRIS and benefits administration (in-house)
Proven success in leading operational improvements for the people function
Ability to demonstrate flexibility while implementing programs and practices to serve diverse teams and needs; change agent
Problem solving and growth mindset with a focus on progress, not perfection
Self -starter; able to identify challenges, present and implement creative solutions
Trustworthy with high integrity; able to communicate effectively and build relationships with highly distributed and dynamic teams
Passion for beauty/sustainability and ability to do good work while having fun is a plus
