Marin French Cheese Co. has been handcrafting California original artisan soft-ripened cheeses since 1865. As the country’s oldest cheese company, we are committed to high-quality cheeses made with milk from local herds. We are located in beautiful Marin County, on the pastoral 700-acre Hicks Valley Ranch, just a 15-minute drive from Petaluma and a 10-minute drive from Novato. Our cheese shop is a high traffic shop where people come to discover our cheeses, and picnic with family around our scenic pond.
We are looking for a social person who likes sharing your knowledge and interacting with different people.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Professionally engage with our customers
Educate our customers about the world of cheese and cheesemaking
Maintain high standards of excellent service
Stock shelves & refrigerators
Assist in the café preparing sandwiches, salads and more
Work in a fast, friendly, and accurate manner in every customer interaction
Participate in the spirit of teamwork and collaboration
Participate in maintaining a clean work environment
Additional duties as required
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Fluent in English required, Spanish a plus
Excellent customer service skills
Great communicator with a problem-solving attitude
Ability to manage light inventory count
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
A problem-solving attitude and know how to engage professionally with customers and co-workers
Hard-working with a positive attitude, and team-oriented
ServSafe Certificate required within first 30 days of hire
Must be able to work weekends (at least one weekend day)
