Description:The successful candidate must possess comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems, particularly related to military fighter aircraft, with at least 1 year of experience in an instructor role. The incumbent in this position will provide training to employees whose duties include installation, operational checkout, troubleshooting, and maintenance of aircraft systems including fuel systems, hydraulics and landing gear, flight controls, electrical systems, and propulsion systems at the crew chief and final assembly levels. Subject matter may include installation and removal of components, testing, analysis, rework, adjustment, modification, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems at all levels of ground operations, manufacturing and final assembly. Training will be delivered via classroom instruction, on the Flight line or at offsite locations required to support Production, Field Operations, or Flight Test. The successful candidate should have an understanding of the ADDIE ISD model, be capable of executing lesson plans, using established training systems, and conducting classroom and practical instruction to provide technical knowledge for the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of aircraft, aircraft systems, ground equipment, tools, test equipment, stores and facilities, according to established procedures. The candidate may analyze current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs. The candidate will be capable of writing, editing, and producing materials for technical instruction and provides assistance and support to Final Assembly and Flight line Operations in helping them determine their training needs and developing and conducting their maintenance training programs. The maintenance trainer executes and maintains company-wide training programs as well as the maintenance of certification/qualification record system. The maintenance trainer is expected to be current in the technical content of the subject matter, technical training, and audiovisual techniques including the maintenance of applicable courseware. The maintenance trainer will prepare classrooms including training materials; conducts classroom, shop and simulator training (if required) with customers for the purpose of developing and maintaining a high degree of proficiency in the work force. Basic Qualifications: Current Security Clearance Previous fighter aircraft experience (Military experience a plus): F-15, F-16, F-18, F-22, F-35, U-2 aircraft or ADP Experience preferred Formal Instructional Experience: minimum 1-year classroom instruction teaching or minimum 3-years OJT instruction teaching as an System Matter Expert (SME) or trainer Understanding that includes: removal, installation, operational checkout, troubleshooting, and maintenance of aircraft systems including fuel systems, hydraulics and landing gear, flight controls, electrical systems, and propulsion systems at the crew chief and final assembly levels Desired Skills: AETC, FTD or Service Instructor Experience Knowledge of the ADDIE ISD model Understanding of Avionics and other system integration PW or GE Fighter Engine Experience Ejection Systems knowledge Ability to read, interpret and apply Blueprints BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: job.Qualifications Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
