Director of Operations- Residential Solar Construction
Job Description 
The Director of Residential Construction is an executive leadership role, essential to ensuring productivity and growth of our residential solar division. The director is responsible for field efficiency and proper installation, while supporting the sales, PM, and installation crews.  We need an organized and motivated person who is task oriented and a team player. We are looking for like-minded business partners that value customer service, respect, and hard work. This position will be essential to grow our team and the business, while carefully maintaining our priorities to our customers.
Job Summary 
· Oversee the Residential Solar Division
· Manage the salespeople and project managers
· Installation staff and subcontractor management
· Field efficiency management
· Maintain the division P&L (profit and loss)
· Tracking and meeting labor installation budgets
· In field culture and morale
· Working together with other various management teams
· Job site safety management
· Train, teach, promote and retain new crew leads (from within)
· Work with management team to help create compensation plan for future installers as well as production driven incentive pay
· Help develop and work with various management teams to create the “NewGen Way” as it relates to the training we provide and certificate we give out once you become a certified NewGen Installer or Crew Lead

Minimum requirements for consideration for Director of Residential Operations:
· 5 years field-work experience
· Project Management Experience (1 year minimum)
· Track record of planning and executing solar PV and alternative energy installations  
· Strong attention to detail and time management 
· Ability to communicate effectively with partners at all levels, especially subordinate installation crews
· Ability to act as a leader and team player with a roll-up-the-sleeves attitude and a hands-on approach 
· Ability to manage time effectively and be focused on setting and executing clear objectives and priorities for yourself and the install teams
· Commitment to excellence and high standards 
· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities with enthusiasm 
· Ability to exercise strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills 
· Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills 
Responsibilities:  
· Own all aspects of field management of installations
· Work with Senior Management to develop project timelines and budgets
· Identify gaps in execution of strategy and needed resources to execute 
Strong candidates will offer the following:

Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university
Knowledge of alternative energy industry
High level of organization and attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Team player, collaborative, able to work with others
Excel and CRM software knowledge a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
