Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Composites Laminator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.
In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:
Determine from blueprints, engineering data, nonconformance records, and shop orders the work methods and sequence of operations necessary for composites lay up of laminates and bonding of core on molds ranging from developmental to production, to fabricate.
Assemble first article composite parts, skins, and assemblies having deep draws, compound and reverse contours and critical transition areas.
Manufacturing methods and sequences may vary considerably from one
lay-up to another. Alternate methods may be required in certain applications.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
1.5 years of Composites Lamination and bonding experience
Must be able to comprehend and demonstrate use of Blue Prints, Process
Specifications, Manufacturing Work Instructions and inspection hand tools.
Must be able to laminate and bond complex parts with minimal work instructions using various pre-preg / wet layup materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Composites Lamination and bonding experience in an aerospace environment.
Salary Range: $40,248 USD – $77,854 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
