OFY’s founders started the program in 1987 to provide at-risk and underserved students an alternative to traditional learning methods and environments. Job Details:

Options for Youth embraces diversity and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. OFY is looking for a Career Pathways Coordinator Aide to work at our Cudahy center. This position is federally funded.

The Career Pathways Coordinator Aide will have the following responsibilities:

Provides additional more targeted supports in alignment with the Career Pathways Coordinators

Meets one-on-one with students (and parents, if required/desired) to discuss post-secondary goals; assists teachers in creating job individualized plans for students to reach their goal(s).

Case manages students based on pathways and documents student progress in the case management system

Maintains a resource bank for all pathways

Guides students through both individualized and suggested career pathways

Identifies WIOA eligibility.

Coordinates WIOA orientation appointments.

Refers students to WIOA caseloads while ensuring access to funding

Monitors progress through WIOA partner interactions and activities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Ability to work independently and efficiently, exercising reasonable judgment, in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with minimal supervision.

Ability to synergize with field and corporate staff to implement the educational program.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate problem solving skills, while maintaining courtesy, professionalism, and a customer service attitude.

Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with students, parents, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.

Ability to change direction as priorities shift and thrive in environments that require the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

Strong interpersonal relationship skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Working knowledge of MS Office, Google Suite and database management.

Ability to travel as needed.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma

BA/BS Degree preferred

California 30-day Substitute permit preferred

Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred

Requirement of either*

Proof of COVID19 Vaccination & Booster (if booster eligible) or
Weekly COVID19 Negative Test ( option to participate in on-site weekly testing or obtain testing off site)
