Job Description:
We are searching for a top-level payments professional, a Director of Global Network Partnerships to join us at PayPal on Global Network Partners Team. With focus on the customer and with great expertise in merchant acquiring, this person is well versed with the e-commerce US market (knowledge of the main global markets is a huge plus) and will manage the commercial relationship with our card network partner(s).
You will contribute by working collaboratively and cross-functionally within the Payments teams and the whole organization to help define and execute the payments strategy leveraging external partners to further PayPal’s strategic business objectives. You will also help with:
Define the partner strategy and goals in alignment with PayPal’s priorities in the US
Manage the day-by-day relationship with the card network(s) being the point of contact for new business development, contract negotiations, providing product guidelines and responding to escalations when needed.
Seek constant optimization of our payment solutions, making recommendations to improve approval rates, availability of payments products and lowering costs.
Manage a portfolio of projects/initiatives to drive the sourcing and delivery of new products and partnerships that optimize our KPI’s of transaction expense, revenue enablement and customer acquisition
Be a strategic thought leader in the ever-changing payments landscape in the market.
We are seeking a Director of Global Network Partnerships, someone with a strong business orientation, the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams, and a strong focus on collaboration with counterparts within and across teams as you support initiatives which build on PayPal’s strong foundations, deliver measurable value to the company, and help it achieve its vision. What we are looking for:
Deep knowledge of card processing industry with 10+ years of experience in the US payments market and minimum of 5 years doing businesses with card networks.
Proven experience on executing complex and large negotiations, with demonstrated abilities of strategic view and problem solving.
Demonstrate leadership and ability to practice strong ownership, drive change in a large, matrixed organization.
Fearless leader able to constructively advance opinionated perspective, well-informed by industry and customer analysis, to all levels of organization.
Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory, additional training (courses/certifications/specializations) and MBA is desirable.

New York City Only : The pay range for this position is as mentioned below per year, plus annual bonus. We take into consideration an individual’s background and experience in determining final salary.
