Peak Bio is a newly created venture out of the San Francisco Bay Area that will soon reach a critical milestone in our history of going public on NASDAQ. We are seeking scientific and business talent at two of our critical sites that include our center of research excellence in Palo Alto, California and our G&A infrastructure in South Florida.

This is a full-time position based in our Palo Alto, California offices, and will initially report to the Head of Oncology.

This role will be important in driving the future of our business, demonstrating the ability to work scientifically with a unique business model, working collaboratively amongst other talented scientists who utilize expertise, analytics, creativity, and ingenuity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

Produce tumor biology, xenografts- cell-line derived or PDx
Construct Immuno-oncology, syngeneic models
Produce FFPE Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Microscopy
Extract tumor/ tissue DNA/ RNA and NGS/ RNAseq transcriptome analysis
Produce in vitro pharmacology and translation studies
Perform flow cytometry
Maintain cell culture
Perform data analysis and interpretation using standard methods and software (for e.g., Prism, Excel, FloJo, Basespace, Galaxy etc.)
Work with SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting and ELISA as needed
Work with transfection of cell lines and selection of stable clones as needed
Create novel engineered cancer cell lines as needed

Desired Abilities and Qualifications

MS in cell biology, tumor biology, immunology, or related with 4+ years or PhD with 1+ year of relevant industry experience
Experience with Potency screening- single agent and chemotherapy combination

Experience in In vitro pharmacology/ Tumor biology- Performed Dose selection and optimization experiments in cell line xenograft and/or PDX models in oncology setting.
Experience in pharmacokinetics- ELISAs for detection of antibodies in serum, AUC analysis.
Analysis of mechanism of action by immune cell profiling, or immunofluorescence and/or IHC.
Analysis of mechanism of action in cells/ tumor by qRT-PCR, SDS-PAGE, and RNAseq. Cell profiling/ lineage tracking by PCR or gene expression signatures.
Excellent documentation and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills in embodying a collaborative, respectful, courteous, capable company culture
