Join PLI and represent the legal community’s premier provider of continuing education and research services as a Multimedia Production Specialist On-Call in our San Francisco office. This is an hourly on-call opportunity which requires on-site presence in our San Francisco office.

Key Responsibilities
The Specialist is expected to learn and rotate through the following roles:
Technical Director: Cuts and directs the show for the conference room and web audience while closely working with a team of Multimedia Production Specialist to ensure that all audio-visual components are implemented in such a way as to provide a solution that meets the demands and also the goal(s) of the particular event.
Audio Technician: Mixes the show live and communicates with Floor Manager to provide the best sound for the in-room audience and online audience. Set up and test Video Conferencing (Zoom) & Audio Conferencing as needed for remote participants.
Video Operator: Syncs webcast stream and local records. Observes live Webcast stream for any noticeable audio/video issues. Logs metadata and creates notes for editors for On-Demand Video Products. Creates lower 3rd graphics to title speakers. Loads presentation materials for the faculty and monitors an inbox for last minute materials and updates.
Floor Manager: Sits In and monitors the live event and communicates with the Program Attorney and Faculty Members who are presenting. Help faculty settle into their sessions and review microphone, presentation, and best practices for presenting. Be ready to assist Faculty if any technical difficulties arise during the live program while communicating with control room technicians to keep the event moving forward.
Other Responsibilities:
Maintain effective and professional relationships within the Multimedia department and through the organization.
Communicate effectively with Multimedia management.
Communicate with Vendors and Engineers as necessary.
Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
1+ years of production experience in entertainment, web, broadcast or cable television required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Adobe Creative Production Suite
Must have experience with live production, corporate events is a plus
Self-starter who can also interact professionally with a wide range of internal clients.
Must be familiar with Newtek NDI Tools
Yamaha TF Series/Dante Audio experience a plus.
Must display a willingness to juggle multiple projects and calmly meet challenging deadlines.
Newtek Tricaster TC1 Production Switcher Experience a plus
Willingness to work overtime on an as-needed basis
