The Position
About D&I Area of Practice (AoP):
In the new P&OG Chapter, the D&I Area of Practice will provide expertise and partnership to support the development and implementation of our global D&I Strategy; enabling lasting changes aligned with Roche’s purpose and values. All D&I Experts will be part of a global network that is distributed across all geographies. Some members of the D&I AoP will be tagged to specific business areas, however, all D&I Experts will work across the Roche enterprise to enable execution and achievement of our D&I Strategy and the 10 Year Ambitions.
Position Summary:
As a D&I Expert, you will report into and be a member of the D&I AoP. You will work across all parts of the Roche enterprise, and partner with BPs, other P&OG consultants, other P&C chapters and key business leaders to enable the implementation of our Global D&I Strategy and Roche 10-year ambitions. While you will be a member of the global AoP, it is likely that you will be focused in a specific geographical region or you may be tagged to a particular business area. You will work independently on interventions or participate in teams or squads to identify and deliver solutions. Additionally, you will develop relationships and partner with colleagues outside of P&C such as those in transformation offices and other centers of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Consult with key stakeholders to develop and implement our D&I strategy with measurable outcomes, creating a process for holding leaders accountable through KPIs and metrics
Create energy and enthusiasm in the organization for D&I, amplify existing commitments to create an environment where all employees feel they belong.
Partner with business leaders to ensure diverse and inclusive approaches are integrated into all aspects of our business, including elements such as our approach to science and country-level market access.
Seamlessly integrate D&I through all of our core people practices i.e. Finding People, Developing People, Rewarding People, and Building our Organization.
Identify and implement pragmatic approaches to embed appropriate mindsets leading to Diversity and Inclusion being a core element of Roche culture
Lead and participate in squads/work product teams as deemed necessary to integrate a D&I perspective
Work flexibly across business units based on strategic priorities
Participate and contribute in the D&I Community of Expertise and other P&OG Communities of your choosing
Proactively share information related to your consulting work and client areas, helping P&OG and P&C sense the Roche system holistically and have broad understanding of business activities
Role model Creative Leadership and VACC in all interactions
Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree
7 years’ experience in D&I or related field
Preferred Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge:
Knowledge and understanding of topics relating to D&I including intercultural competence, inclusive leadership, unconscious bias, equity, allyship, belonging, etc
Experience operating effectively in a large, decentralized global organization currently undergoing a significant transformation. Specific experience of agile organizations would be helpful
Contributed to the development of differentiated D&I interventions that have transformed the relationship of the organization to D&I
Ability to interact, influence and collaborate with employees and management across all levels
Demonstrated use of data and analytics to determine recommendations and reinforce key messages
Experience with leadership coaching on all aspects of D&I
Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, and courage to push back and challenge the status quo
Project management experience
Global enterprise experience
Leadership experience within a business resource group
Fluent English language skills are a must, other languages a plus
