*POSITION SUMMARY: * Under the guidance of the Clinical Program Manager, the Family Specialist functions as a member of an assigned service team within the Wrap program and provides direct services to children and families as identified in individualized service plans. The Family Specialist engages with assigned families, in accordance with individualized service plans or as determined by the Child and Family Team meeting, in providing concrete services to assist the child and family with their tasks of daily living. Concrete services include providing educational support, transportation, parenting assistance, home management assistance, recreational activities, and behavior management. As directed by the Clinical Program Manager, Family Facilitator or the Child and Family Team, the Family Specialist provides advocacy, support and intervention to individual family members and the family as a whole. The Family Specialist assists in the completion of all documents for the Wrap program, including but not limited to tracking sheets, family safety plan, family review, family budget, assessment plans etc.QUALIFICATIONS: At least one year of full-time experience working in the mental health field is required. Two (2) years of college or an AA degree in the Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling or related field is preferred.Driving is an essential function of this job. As such, employees in this position will be required to furnish their own vehicle to be used in the course of employment. A valid CA driver’s license and minimum insurance coverage is also required. Must be at least 21 years old.
