OVERVIEW: Under the supervision of the A.M. Cottage Supervisor, the Residential Counselor Coordinator ensures that the children in the assigned cottages are provided supervision and appropriate care and that the care is in compliance with all Community Care Licensing (CCL) and Title 22 regulations. The Residential Counselor Coordinator works collaboratively with the treatment team to ensure the safety and security, as well as the psychological and physical needs of the children are being met, coordinates with the morning staff to assure routines are followed and children get to their morning appointments. This position has the ability to function as the Facility Manager.QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or GED and one of the following are required:
Two years of full time experience, or its equivalent working with emotionally disturbed children; at least one year must be in a Group Home or STRTP setting; or
A Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience working with emotionally disturbed children.
Driving is an essential function of this job. As such, employees in this position will be required to furnish their own vehicle to be used in the course of employment. A valid CA driver’s license and minimum insurance coverage is also required. Must be at least 21 years old.
