About The Position
The Customer Care Specialist has a wide range of responsibilities including, but not limited to: networking with communities and neighborhoods to heighten awareness of SCP, organizing and presiding at informational public workshops and other events to increase the reach of SCP’s communication and marketing efforts, assisting in the development of SCP marketing materials, and working directly with ratepayers on service and billing issues. He/she shall work closely with the Director of Customer Service and Customer Operations Manager on tasks within the Customer Service Department to ensure customers receive a positive experience. The Customer Care Specialist may be assigned to assist any SCP manager or director, as needed. The Customer Care Specialist should be outgoing, a self-starter, highly organized, dependable, collaborative in nature, and able to work in a team environment or independently. As a representative of SCP, the position requires the ability to communicate clearly in all forms, and the ability to speak publicly to small or large groups with a positive, professional demeanor. Travel will be required as needed between Sonoma and Mendocino Counties. Persons working in this position will be assigned primarily to the 431 E Street and occasionally at 741 4th Street Santa Rosa facilities on a schedule to be determined by the Director of Customer Service.
