Discipline junior designer assists with the production of department specific 2D drawings and standards. Updates 3D model under the supervision of senior designers, coordinates and issues department documents.
Prepares detail drawings from preliminary sketches and layouts supplied by engineering and senior designers.
Updates 3D model with instructions received from engineering and senior designers.
Revises design drawings per checkers comments.
Generates piping isometrics from the 3D model for back check and or to issue.
Coordinates and issues piping isometric drawings.
Creates 2D orthographic drawings using the 3D model as the source data.
Training on basic drafting principles, preferably from a 2 year college.
Previous work experience as a draftsman/designer.
The ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Knowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD and third party software used to produce preliminary and construction type drawings for projects.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
Can function with minimal supervision.
Able to communicate effectively using the English language.
