Online Tutoring Job (Reading, Writing, and Math Positions)

Great job! Work for Ventura County’s BEST tutoring organization right from your home. Teach reading, writing, and/or math to our wonderful students.

School-day afternoons, Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.

We provide all the training and materials you’ll need. Because of our decades of success, our tutors often receive many more hours of work than any other tutoring company can provide.

Here’s what we’re looking for in our tutors:

Personality: (love to teach, great with students, clear and positive communicator, organized)
Training (at least one of the following): teaching credential, a degree in education, Early Childhood Certificate, or be in College to become a teacher, or have taken college courses in education, sociology, or psychology
Experience (at least one of the following): Classroom teacher, – Para-Educator, Classroom Aide, have after-school experience with a public school, or tutoring experience
Language: You’ll need to understand English language arts. Bilingual English/Spanish is a “plus”
Math: You should have at least fundamental math knowledge including multiplication/division, fractions/decimals/percentages
Availability: The more open your afternoon schedule, the more hours that are possible. You must be available from at least 3:30 p.m. on weekday afternoons. Weekends are optional.

$17 – $25/hour Bumps in pay for credentials, upper math knowledge, and bilingual ability.
