Job Description
The Workplace Technologies team is looking for a seasoned Live Event/Studio Production Engineer who is passionate in up-leveling Visa’s live event and studio productions. Our team is focused on being a trusted partner in producing highly engaged live events and high-quality studio recordings. We pride ourselves in thinking outside of the box and push the technical boundaries of broadcast and video production. This candidate is a thought leader, self-motivated, and knows how to lead and execute on any event or studio requests. This candidate will have deep technical knowledge around pro-A/V, video conference technology, live event production, studio production, post-production, and streaming/broadcast. It is essential this candidate understands best practices and always stays ahead of industry trends. This role will be highly collaborative and responsible for key partnerships with, but not limited to, Exec Admins, Marketing, Comms, IT, Facilities, Construction and Real Estate, and production vendors. This person will be a key driver in designing and implementing new technologies and innovative solutions throughout all of Visa’s auditoriums and studios. It’s very important for this candidate to inspire people, positive can-do attitude, incredibly organized, tenacity in solving problems, strong team player, and be able to communicate effectively with executives and stakeholders.
Essential Functions
Evangelize live event and studio production services to other business units and establish yourself as a trusted partner
Lead the charge on supporting events and studio recordings and make command decisions on how to resolve problems
Supervise the daily production workload and manage and facilitate the smooth transition of any schedule changes
Ensure accountability and set short-term and long-term objectives and goals
Create reports and KPIs to ensure team is performing at peak efficiency
Use your expertise to get into the technical weeds and do what it takes to get the job done
Design and commission innovative pro-A/V solutions for training rooms, event center auditoriums, and recording studios
Drive A/V scopes and partner with stakeholders, general contractors, IT teams, facilities, vendors, etc. and ensure live event auditoriums and recording studios are properly maintained and refreshed according to A/V life cycle
Ensure all pro-AV solutions work by providing analysis, designs, implementation and support strategies in relation to Visa’s network and security policies
Provide stellar customer service and consult with internal clients to discuss, plan, and ensure their event and studio requirements are properly staffed and supported
Manage request tickets and ensure all requests are addressed in a timely manner
Monitor all pro-A/V equipment, perform dry-run tests, and perform preventative maintenance
Lead proof-of-concept (POC) tests and validation on new and emerging pro-A/V technologies
Create, update, and archive all documentation and wikis
Design and incorporate pro-AV standards on all hardware and software related to live event and studio productions
Train and mentor other team members
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
4+ years in leading a team of production engineers
7+ years of experience in supporting events and studio recordings in a corporate environment
Has customer service first approach with a positive, can-do attitude
Experience in managing resources and escalations
Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize multiple productions and projects
Proven track record in designing and building live event auditoriums and professional broadcast studios in a fast-paced, pressured environment
Extensive experience in configuring, deploying and supporting professional video switchers, digital audio boards, MAMs, editing workstations, lighting controls, routing distribution, streaming encoders, etc.
Experience in end-to-end studio production from conception to production to post-production
Expert knowledge in post-production workflows using Adobe Premiere and After Effects
Experience in building MAMs around central SAN storage
Experience in managing pro-A/V technology life cycle in a global enterprise environment
Experience in proposing production projects and status to executive leadership
Experience with construction projects and the impacts to facilities (i.e. rack elevations, HVAC, lighting, environmental control, room acoustics)
Experience in audio DSP programming and Dante network
Experience with Crestron and Extron matrix switchers
Knowledge of networking, firewalls, proxy, NDI, NVX, HLS, RTMP, fiber channel, CDNs
Excellent written and presentation skills
Strong problem solving skills
Experience with Microsoft Teams Live Event, enterprise video platforms
CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D Certification
Experience deploying Ross, Allen Heath, Vmix, OBS
Experience handling prosumer and pro cameras
Pearl2, Elemental encoders
Experience with LED virtual production
Experience with Unreal Engine, Cinema 4D, Autodesk 3ds Max
Experience with QSC, Biamp
Experience with Logitech, Poly, Neat
Experience using ticketing systems like ServiceNow or JIRA

This is an on-site position. An on-site position must be consistently performed at an assigned Visa office location and require daily commute to the office location.
