Vital Research has an immediate need for an organized and dedicated* Field Coordinator* to join our team on a temporary, 5-month survey research project in October 2022. This individual coordinates the fieldwork operations of a large-scale, Quality of Life survey project under the direct supervision of the Research Manager. The field coordinator makes sure that the appropriate staff, equipment, and materials are on hand to complete survey work on time and according to project guidelines. By interfacing with field workers, field coordinators ensure the smooth operation of field activities, including safety, work quality, logistics, project deliverables, and employee relations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee 60-80 Field Interviewers conducting quality of life surveys with assisted living and nursing home residents. Reiterate protocol, give direction, and problem solve.
Use Microsoft Access to monitor and track project activities.
Communicate and support field staff, assist with the scheduling of interviews with facilities, and the assignment of field staff.
Comply with confidentiality, federal HIPAA regulations, and adhere to data security and safety requirements.
Coordinate mailings of additional field staff materials, as needed.
Act as the first point of contact for any facility inquiries regarding schedules or data collection procedures
Receive feedback regarding the quality of work performed by field interviewers and communicate areas for improvement to interviewers.
Timely completion of project reports summarizing field worker hours.
Requirements:
Must be fully vaccinated.
Bachelor’s degree in social science or a relevant field.
A minimum of 2 years of coordination experience.
Must be available M-F, 5:15 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. PST (OH) or 6:30 a.m. –3 p.m. PST (MN) (averaging 40 hours/week as needed).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Access.
Ability to analyze complex projects, identify inefficiencies, and coordinate staff and resources to ensure the timely completion of deliverables.
Understand the principles of customer service and how to apply those principles to resolve complaints, meet expectations, and ensure overall customer satisfaction.
Aptitude to multi-task, take direction, adhere to strict deadlines, and change direction in response to unpredictable work situations.
Strong interpersonal and listening skills when communicating with field staff This includes the ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts and hear complaints without becoming defensive.
Ability to motivate and provide functional direction.
Maintain clear, accurate, and comprehensive records.
Adhere to data security and privacy protocols.
Preferred Experience: *
Research experience strongly preferred.
Basic knowledge of health care terminology is highly desired.
1 year of supervisory experience.
