The Job

Responsible for supporting a comprehensive and effective testing program for the portfolio of Workday projects within the Project Management Office (PMO) functional unit of the Global HR Shared Services Center of Expertise (COE)
Responsible for advising and guiding project teams in developing testing strategies/plans and leading the test execution through completion
Ensures that the configured Workday solutions meet customers’ business requirements and can be used effectively within their business environments
This position fosters relationships with internal stakeholders by working collaboratively with other project team members and testing participants including HR, Employee Benefits, Compensation, IT, and Finance
Support the Sr. Manager – Workday Projects, Testing & Release Management in leading and facilitating the end to end testing of new business solutions as well as regression testing for the existing Workday product portfolio
Expected to leverage available testing tools & systems including JIRA and Kainos to support the documentation and overall testing process

The Daily

Define and apply a standard testing methodology to projects in order to meet requirements and deliverables
Maintain standard templates and test evidence structure using the Atlassian JIRA tool and ensure proper maintenance and storage of documentation for compliance purposes
Create, maintain, and close JIRA projects including coordination of test cycles and plans across Workday and other application portfolios
Optimize the use of JIRA and Confluence at a global and project level to ensure consistency across all the projects within HR Services
Optimize the use of Kainos Smart automated testing tool for Workday testing
Maintain user guides for administrators and end users on the Confluence platform
Partner with project teams to develop test strategies and test plans, including test scenario development and setup of Workday testing environment and testing tools/systems
Lead end to end testing including detailed scheduling and facilitation of testing activities, kickoff meetings, regular SCRUM, defect resolution, and testing sign-off

The Essentials

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience in Human Resources, HRIS, Payroll, IT, or related consulting experience
Experience with testing and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Kainos) required
Ability to manage complex work within tight deadlines
Some experience with interfaces to third party vendors for benefits, motion picture industry and guilds, taxes, garnishments, unemployment, etc.
Some experience working Workday implementation project with fast-paced delivery schedules in large enterprises
Ability to partner with various stakeholders to effectively address issues; ability to proactively anticipate problems, identify opportunities and confidently define solutions/ initiatives to address business needs
Good problem-solving skills capable of distilling business problems to their core components
Good oral and written communication skills
Experience presenting to varying, including executive level, audiences and supporting monthly, quarterly or annual business reviews a plus
Baseline understanding of technology components including logical architecture, system development lifecycle (SDLC), data governance and master data management a plus
