Webasto is looking for a Product Manager to help support our rapidly growing charging division.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible on a global level but focus on North America for all products regarding Webasto’s charging Solutions for cord sets or portable EVSEs. Responsible for product definition, commercialization strategy and replacement after EOP.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Collecting and structuring product ideas as a basis for product enhancements and new projects
Propose in-house development or Brand Label for new products
Planning and implementing product- and project-specific market analysis
Ensure that communication with Sales / Marketing as well as operating Webasto system supplier units takes place
Support sales staff with product knowledge
Evaluate and report on PPM relevant performance indicators which are relevant for his products (e.g. quantities, target price achieved, “time-to-break-even”, NPS, EBIT, CM etc.)
Evaluate actual status of his products (development status, market position, market data sales, quantities, etc.) and incorporate them in the PPM process
Collect and determine product requirements (e.g. the customer requirement specifications) from the perspective of market expectations, analyzing and preparing the current product-related market data.
Review and sign off requirement specifications in close cooperation with system specialists and operating Webasto system supplier units
Compile product-related factors, factors which influence customer purchase-decisions as well as value proposition and unique selling points (USP)
Create and coordinate the marketing mix (product/features, target price/costs, promotion, placement)
Coordinate completion of technical and sales-related documentation
Ensure that current sales information and user documentation (manuals, operating instructions, catalogs, etc.) for the products within his responsibility are available and regularly maintained in the required regional versions.
Prepare profitability calculation for the product group or innovation projects
Ongoing monitoring of the market during the product lifecycle and timely initiation of required changes in accordance with change management procedures
Ensure product ramp-up proceeds as planned
Responsible for coordinated product phase-out.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
University degree ideally in business, marketing, or engineering is preferred. No less than 3 years experience in similar position or industry.
Knowledge and proficiency of:
Relevant experience (min. 3 years) working within similar industry.
Good organizational skills, able to work independently and in a team.
Good people and communication skills internally and externally incl. positive leader skills.
Willing to travel on a regular basis.
Goal-oriented, structured working methods.
Ability to translate between sales and engineering
