This role will be based in Monrovia, Ca (Pasadena in 2023). We are flexible and open to a hybrid or fully onsite schedule. This is a great opportunity to work with an amazing team!
Our protein engineering capabilities and the modular nature of our XmAb technology allow us to quickly identify and create new platforms and drug candidates for potential development. We are advancing a deep clinical pipeline of novel drug candidates, including eight bispecific antibodies and two engineered cytokines, and more programs are expected to start clinical testing in 2022. We also leverage our many XmAb technologies by collaborating with leading global biopharmaceutical companies, including Genentech and Janssen Biotech, among others, and including our partnerships, 20 XmAb drug candidates are advancing through clinical development. Three XmAb medicines, to treat patients with a range of serious illnesses, such as aggressive lymphoma, rare blood disorders and COVID-19, are now marketed worldwide by partners.

Position Summary:
Responsible for providing executive level administrative and organizational support to the CEO and Xencor Management Team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manages CEO and Executive Team calendars and meetings
Manages company conference calendar and executive conference registration and arrangements
Arranges complex meetings, both internally and externally, including board of directors, investors, partners, and high-level executives
Communicates with managers outside the department and across functions; may communicate with outside partners and vendors on behalf of the Company
Prepares and manages materials and logistics of key events, including executive off-site meetings such as Board, executive team and networking meetings
Coordinates domestic and international travel for executive team as well as advisors, consultants, board of directors, and other team members as needed
Processes expense reports, purchase orders and manage department and/or executive credit charges
Assists with presentations and related collateral materials including reviewing and/or proof-reading communications before they are distributed
Performs intermediate to advanced desktop publishing including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations
Uploads and maintains Board materials in Diligent
Develops and demonstrates working knowledge of systems and serves as a “go to” person for frequently asked questions
Maintains confidential documents and files appropriately
Coordinates and implements special projects as needed
Adheres to all department and company-wide policies regarding conduct, performance and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Skills:
Position requires a High School diploma/GED and at least 12 years of progressively responsible experience in an administrative role supporting senior level staff and building relationships with high-level executives as well as significant interaction with outside vendors and external business partners, preferably in the Life Sciences industry. A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of previously referenced experience is preferred. Requires experience using common office technical equipment such as PC, scanners, voice mail and e-mail systems, and common office machines. Also requires exceptional software knowledge such as Windows, MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams. Prior experience with SmartSheet preferred.

The physical, mental and working environment demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this position.
The physical demands of the office are normally associated with extended amounts of time sitting and using office equipment, including a computer, keyboard and mouse, which can cause muscle strain. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. Periodic light lifting of supplies and materials may apply.
